APPROPRIATIONS 213
Section 47. Lincoln University—for the construction and
equipping of an auditorium—art building.—There is hereby appropriated out of the State Treasury, chargeable to the Postwar
Reserve Fund, the sum of Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($800,-
000.00) for the use of Lincoln University, for the period beginning July 1, 1953 and ending June 30, 1955, for the following purpose:
For the construction and equipping an auditorium-
art building, and for repairs and replacement of
the heating plant $800,000.00
Provided, however, that all expenditures for this purpose
made under Section 10.972 of House Bill 496, an act of the 66th
General Assembly, shall be charged against the appropriation set
out in this section, and in no case shall the expenditures under
Section 10.972 of House Bill 496 and the expenditures authorized
by the provision of this section exceed the total amount set out in
this section.
Section 48. St. Louis State Hospital—for constructing and
equipping a new laundry building.—There is hereby appropriated
out of the State Treasury, chargeable to the Postwar Reserve Fund,
the sum of Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($450,000.00)
for the use of the St. Louis State Hospital at St. Louis, for constructing and equipping a new laundry building, for the period
beginning July 1,1953 and ending June 30, 1955.
Provided, however, that all expenditures for this purpose
made under Section 10.530 of House Bill 496, an act of the 66th
General Assembly, shall be charged against the appropriation set
out in this section, and in no case shall the expenditures under
Section 10.530 of House Bill 496 and the expenditures authorized
by the provision of this Section exceed the total amount set out
in this section.
Section 49. University of Missouri additional appropriations
—General Revenue Fund.—There is hereby appropriated out of
the State Treasury, chargeable to the General Revenue Fund, the
sum of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00), to the use
of the University of Missouri for the payment of salaries, wages
and per diem of the officers, teachers and members; and for the
operating and other expenses of the Adult Education and Extension Service; for the period beginning July 1, 1953 and ending
June 30, 1955, as follows:
Personal Service $80,000.00
Operation 20,000.00
Total $100,000.00
