488 LAWS OF MISSOURI, 1951 he shall be paid on demand the amount of his accumulated contributions without interest standing to the credit of his individual account in the employees contribution fund, and in case of his death before retirement such accumulated contributions without interest shall be paid to his estate, or designated beneficiary. The accumulated contributions without interest shall not be paid to a member so long as he remains in the: service as a teacher. Section 4. Amending Section 169.330, Revised Statutes of Missouri, 1949.—That Section 169.330 RSMo 1949 be amended in subsection 2, Lines 17 to 21, by striking out the following words: "If at any time any federal or state act should provide for the payment of any pension or benefit to a beneficiary or member of Sections 169.270 to 169.400, such pension or benefit payment"-and substituting in lieu thereof the following: "If at any time any federal or state act should be applicable to provide for the payment of any pension or benefit based upon employment in public schools to a beneficiary or member under Sections 169.270 to 169.400, such pension or benefit payment accruing on account of employment in public schools"; so that said Section 169.330 as amended will read as follows: Section 169.330. Payment of other pensions or benefits.— 1. The present value of any amounts which may be paid or payable by the school district under the provisions of any workmen's compensation or similar law if and when the district shall elect to place itself under, or by law is placed under the provisions of such law, to a member or beneficiary or his dependents on account of any disability shall be offset against and payable in lieu of any benefits payable out of funds provided by the district under the provisions of Sections 169.270 to 169.400 on account of the same disability, in such manner as the board of trustees shall determine. 2. If at any time any feelcral or state act should be applicable to provide for the: payment eif any pension or benefit based upon employment in public schools, to a beneficiary or member under Sections 169.270 to 169.400, such pension or benefit payment accruing on acceiunt eif employment in public schools for the same period tei the same inelivielual shall apply upon the payment or benefit herein provieU;d, and tho payment under Sections 169.270 to 169.400 shall be only the excess, if any, over the said payment or benefit so provided by said federal or state act for the same period to the same beneficiary; and likewise such part of contribution by or deduction from salary eif the same person as the board of trustees shall authorize as being on account of benefits for the same person only and not on account of benefits for his family or dependents for the cost of such benefit required or said beneficiary or member by said federal or state act, shall apply upon the payment or deduction from salary requireel for the cost of benefits under Sections
