330 LAWS OF MISSOURI, 1951 Be it enacted by the Gent rat Assembly of the Stair of Missouri, as follows.- Section 1. To amend Chapter 85, Revised Statutes of Missouri, 1949, by adding a new section to be known as Section 85.411.—That chapter 85 RSMo 1949 be and the same hereby is amended by adding a new section thereto, to be known as section 85.411, which said section shall provide for placing on the eligible list of the policemen's and firemen's civil service commission of cities of the second class, persons who left the police or fire department of such cities to become members of the Armed Forces of the United States of America, which said section shall read as follows: Section 85.411. Persons who have served in the armed forces reinstated—when.—Any person who left a position in the police or fire department to become a member of the Armed Forces of the United States of America shall, on application made within one year after discharge from the armed forces, and upon passing the physical examination required of policemen and firemen, be reinstated on the eligible list of such department. Such persons shall be placed at the head of such eligible list in the order of their application. Approved August 8, 1951. IS. B. 177.1 CITIES, TOWNS AND VILLAGES: To provide for the placing on the eligible list of the policemen's and firemen's civil service commission of cities of the first class—adopting the alternative form of government for such cities, persons who left the police or fire department of such cities to become members of the Armed Forces of the United States of America.
