Tiger riger women come back to claim volleyball victory The Missouri women's volleyball A the Northeast Missouri State Bulldogs 8 15 15 12 14 10 in a tightly officiated district playoff Wednesday night in the Hearnes Center practice gym Twenty-six Twenty illegal hits 18 18 of them themon themon on on Northeast were called by official Melinda Prewitt during the match The Tigers 8 1 were never really in inthe inthe inthe the first fast game They stayed stay d even with the Bulldogs to 7 77 only because of the close calls calIs and Northeast's mistakes The Bulldogs however pulled ahead with good spiking against a bewildered Missouri defense Northeast looked like it would dominate the second game also as Missouri continued to play poorly With the score 7 11 however Missouri came alive aUve Good hits by Joan Hermeyer Peggy Schmidt and Mary Jane Clark plus Northeast mistakes tied the score at 11 Janna Bounders Bounder's inability to keep the ballin ball in in play for Northeast as Missouri began to play its game led to a 15 12 Tiger victory Missouri kept its momentum as it led the entire third thud game The Bulldogs couldn't keep the ball in play while Missouri picked its defense apart The Bulldogs also lost their service six times during the game
