Sadat requests PLO PLOW PLOn ip W n Geneva GeneY lp peace a e talks talk h UNITED NATIONS UPI Egyptian President Anwar Sadat called on the United States and the Soviet Union Wednesday to resume the Geneva Conference on 11 the Middle East soon with the participation of the Palestine Liberation Organization PLO The be United States which which along with Israel opposed PLO participation in Middle East peace talks r- r rand and the Soviet Union are co cochairmen of the long dormant Geneva conference Israeli Ambassador Chaim Herzog while reaffirming his country's willingness to go to Geneva if the conference is preceded by proper consultations rejected the bid bid for PLO participation Speaking in Arabic to a packed Assembly hall Sadat declared I believe that it is high time and even imperative that the Geneva Conference should resume its meetings with the participation of all the parties concerned with the Palestinian question Subsequently I hereby officially request both the secretary general and the two superpowers the Soviet Union and the United States to begin im im- immediately immediately immediately mediately their consultations with all the interested parties including the PLO so that the Geneva Conference could be resumed in the very near future and that its meetings should continue uninterruptedly to deal with the whole problem in all its aspects in order to reach a just and lasting peace
