Helpful Hints for Buying Tomatoes Fresh tomatoes are available year round but it is during the summer months that the greatest supplies can be found Tomatoes are best in flavor if they are allowed to ripen on the vine When shipped long distances they must be picked green and are less flavorful and less juicy when fully ripened When buying fresh tomatoes look for ones that are a good color for their variety Choose those that are firm rounded and free from blemishes If they are not going to be used immediately im im- immediately immediately mediately include a few that are a little under In general gener tomatoes should be beA beA beA A fireplace is the focal point of a room mom Do not allow the area to become cluttered Wipe wooden jewelry with a soft cloth wrung out of cool heavy in weight for their size Tomatoes can be eaten raw or made into pastes purees pickles or ketchup They are an excellent addition to any salad salador or sandwich water Polish it with natural oils Rub with the palm of your hand If leather gloves are not stamped washable have them dry L.
