r ri i l i L 4 L I Y Viaduct Falls 9 Found Dead RIO m DE JANEIRO DEJANEIRO UPI A V-A A viaduct under construction collapsed on a traffic filled street Saturday burying two O buses bases and at least 10 to automobiles and an unknown number of pedestrians under tons tans of concrete Police said the bodies of nine persons were recovered and 30 3 injured persons were rescued in initial efforts to free those trapped They were unable to estimate the total number of casualties Firemen directing the rescue operation said it would take approximately three weeks to clear dear the site Two branches of the viaduct collapsed onto Haddock Lobo Labe Street in the Tijuca section of Rio the rubble covering 7 C a ong long section of the street Rescue work was hampered by the danger of other otter sections of the viaduct collapsing Screams of some ne persons person trapped in vehicles beneath the concrete could be beard heard by the workers
