Israel Proposes Exchange Of Prisoners with Egypt t By RAY MOSELEY l Y JERUSALEM UPI-Israel UPI offered today to exchange Egyptian prisoners for the nine known Israeli soldiers soldiers' being held in Egypt Brig Gen Schmuel Eyal said the prisoner exchange proposed through the International RedCross Red RedCross RedCross Cross would include the release of 9 generals 10 colonels and other Egyptian officers captured during the six six day day warin war warin warin in the Sinai Desert In Geneva the International Committee of the Red Cross said the first exchange of prisoners would take place Thursday at the airport at Nicosia Cyprus In Nicosia Red Cross officials said wound wound- wounded ed would be traded Eyal personnel chief to the Israel chief of staff told a news conference Wednesday Israel now has a total of Arab prisoners of which are Egyptians He said of the prisoners were wounded The only known Israeli prisoners in Arab hands were the nine in Egypt two in Iraq two in Jordan and one in Lebanon Eyal said In the desert he said Israeli troops and planes were making every effort to locate Egyptian soldiers who might be lost Another Defense Ministry M i n i s try t r y spokesman Lt Lt Col Moshe Perlman said Israeli trucks have collected at least Egyptians in Sinai in the last few days and repatriated them Perlman said the Egyptians were taken to the east bank of the Suez Canal and ferried across in m barges sent by the Egyptians An Israeli spokesman said the Egyptians were disarmed be be- before before fore beu beil g allowed to cross the canal Perlman said most of the Egyptians had thrown away what few arms they had left before they were picked up in Sinai
