S HOFFMAN WASHINGTON The AP-The Defense Department has opened the way for hardship discharge of servicemen who are the sole surviving sons in their families it was learned today The new policy was laid down downin downin downin in a memorandum July 1 from Assistant Secretary of Defense Thomas D D.
